Gone Are The Nights

How long I waited
to take the stone out of my chest.
And here you are,
keeping the first rose by your bed.

Call it kismet, call it fate,
but I call you home.
Gone are the nights of empty hearts,
and dreaming in the dark.

I found you in the space
beneath blood and bone.
No more living in rust and ruins,
and hiding from endless days.

The light came back to my life
the first time we said:
all yours,
all in,
always.
