I feel
Out of scale
(with the world)
But in proportion
(with myself)
Learning to step through with due care.
It feels right —
like a distant object
resolving into view.
I occupy my own place.
There is space enough
To go around.

Sarah Corrigan was born in Belgium, raised in West Cork, and now lives in Galway, where she researches Latin texts and manuscripts of the early Middle Ages. She believes poetry is about finding new perspectives for both the poet and their audience.
